Concept and Narrative Of The Story!

Before beginning a music video we were asked to decide a necessary narrative that would fit in with the music. We decided to contrast between the dull miserable life of a bouncer and the fun exciting life of a teenager. The bouncer is constantly angry because of the way his wife treats him. He gets flashbacks of his wife shouting at him, which makes him angry, causing him to take it out on others. At the start of the video we see the bouncer getting ready, looking in the mirror with quite an angry expression on his face, before cutting to the teenager getting ready with a happy look on his face. We express another comparison between emotions afterwards, as the bouncer is walking down the street with an angry look on his face before unnecessarily picking a fight with someone. We then cut to the happy face of the teenager walking along the street singing. Later in our video we see the bouncer take his anger out on the teenager, as the bouncer doesn’t let him into the club, after letting all his friends in. However, the story ends with the teenager having a better night than he was likely to if he’d got into the club, as he finds a girl who’d also been rejected from the club and spends the night with her instead.
